Client Overview
The client is a New York State Police crime laboratory located in Olean New York. They needed a solution to better control and monitor fire alarm, security and access control applications. The new system had to be compatible with a combination of older and different systems. Additional areas of the facility had to be protected and monitored.

Analysis
A control and monitoring system was required that would integrate with the old and new applications. Additional motion sensors, strobes, audio/visuals, heat detectors, smoke detectors, pull stations, outdoor siren and door contacts were also required.

Solution
Life Safety provided and installed a Radionics 9000 Series Control/Communications Integrated Security System along with required sensors, detectors, and contacts. The command center is equipped with an alphanumeric display, distinct fire and burglary tones and backlit, multi-key touchpad.

Result
The Western Regional Crime Laboratory met their objective to better control and monitor fire alarm, security and access control applications and protect additional areas of concern. Life Safety provided a seamless installation out of what the client believed would be a very complex assignment due to the number of old and new structures, as well as the high security environment that the installers had to work in.
