Client Overview
The Account Solutions Group is a collection agency center that employs
over 500 people located in Amherst New York. Given the sensitivity of
information that they work with, they need to have tight security
surveillance of their two facilities, which total over 43,000 square feet.
While
Account Solutions was ready to sign a Sales Agreement with a competitor
for a CCTV Surveillance System, Life Safety provided additional options
for consideration that ultimately led to a series of demonstrations and
finally a proposal which provided better coverage for the client.
Analysis
Life Safety determined that there
were a number of different types of cameras that would optimize the visual
coverage for each specific area of concern, as well as the best digital
recording system for this kind of application. It was also determined that
most effective means of monitoring Account Solution’s two buildings was
by transmitting the video over a LAN Ethernet data system and the
client’s existing fiber optic system. This solution utilized the assets
that the client already had to provide a flexible system that best met
their needs.
Solution/Result
Life Safety provided and installed a
20 camera system using a variety of cameras and viewing them on individual
PC’s. Recording is accomplished with two digital recorders over the LAN
along with remote viewing capabilities. Account Solutions is now
successfully protecting their facility and found security breaches that
the client was not aware of prior to the installation of the CCTV hybrid
system.
